2019 Willow & Tam Breeding

Ridgetop Farm and Garden | Nigerian Dwarf Goat Breeding | Willow and Tam

Willow is a rockstar! Three healthy babies again.

Willow is getting on in age. Next year will probably be her last breeding season. Then, she can simply focus on ruling the herd like the Queen she is.

Tam’s sire is light buckskin, while his dam is a medium buckskin. Tam also is buckskin.

Willow is a solid cream color with random spotting and roaning. She must be a carrier of the recessive black gene because she has birthed a number of black kids. Willow’s dam is dark gold with a belt and roaning. Her sire appears to be dark brown with random spotting.

Two bucks and a doe for Willow. Two are polled, one is not. Two are tan/gold in coloring, one is white/cream.

Her last several births have had a least one black kid. Not this time.

Genetics are peculiar. Willow has given birth to 10 babies on our farm. Not one has had a buckskin pattern, even though the sire’s have been buckskin. Her daughter Georgia, however, has only had buckskin babies.
