Milo is also buckskin.

Betty had one buck. He was the only buckskin this year.

Georgia is black with random spotting, roaning, and frosting

Ronald is solid gold with random spotting, a white poll, and frosting.

Back in 2021, Georgia developed gangrenous mastitis directly after kidding. Her odds were not in her favor for surviving. Thankfully, she did survive. One of her mammary glands, though, does not produce milk. I had decided she wasn’t going to be bred going forward. However, my daughter wanted to breed her and had agreed to bottle feed the kids if necessary.

We didn’t breed any goats in 2022, but in 2023 Georgia birthed two handsome bucks and had no trouble keeping them fed.

Georgia has had 12 kids. Eight boys & four girls. Betty is her one doe we have retained.

WyldeStyle was born with the first litter of kids on our farm. She continues to be naughty and I adore her.

WyldeStyle’s dam is Willow, who is a solid cream color with random spotting and roaning. Crash is WyldeStyle’s sire. He has a light buckskin/swiss marked combination pattern.

WyldeStyle is beautiful with a Swiss marked pattern.

Tam has a buckskin pattern. His sire is light buckskin, while his dam is a medium buckskin.

WyldeStyle birthed quads this year! 2 does and 2 bucks. All are light buckskin.

This is the 3rd time WyldeStyle has been bred with Tam. The result has been a total of 9 kids – 5 does and 4 bucklings. Every single one has been adorable with a light buckskin pattern.

This is the 4th time Georgia has freshened. It is also most likely her last. The birthing went well, however she ended up with gangrenous mastitis. Since that diagnosis doesn’t have anything to do with the topic of this post, I will save that story for another day.

Georgia’s dam is Willow, who is a solid cream color with random spotting and roaning. I have not seen what Georgia’s sire looks like, but the registered description states “black, frosted muzzle and ears, white on face, sides.” Georgia is black with random spotting, roaning, and frosting.

Tam has a buckskin pattern. His sire is light buckskin, while his dam is a medium buckskin.

This year Georgia birthed two bucks and a doe. Most often if you have a black goat, the pattern of the other parent will be present. This is definitely true with these 3 cuties. All have variations of Tam’s buckskin pattern.

This is a total of 10 kids for Georgia. Six boys & four girls. We have kept one of the does, Betty.

This was Betty’s first freshening. I wouldn’t give her an A+ on her pregnancy and birthing, but she did pretty well and birthed two cuties.

Betty’s dam is Georgia, who is black with random spotting, roaning, and frosting. Betty’s sire is is our main herd sire, Tam. He is buckskin. Betty is also buckskin.

Wingman was one of the kids from the first litter born on our farm. When he was born he had the coolest fawn colored hair spattered with roaning. It has lightened up significantly as he has aged. Wingman’s sire is Crash. He had a combination pattern of Swiss marked and medium to light buckskin. Wingman’s dam is Willow, who is a solid cream color.

One buck and one doe for Betty. They are both light buckskin, like their mom and grandsire.
